“Yesterday, the New York State 4th Judicial Department Appellate Division issued an opinion that the designating petition for my opponent be invalidated effective immediately and that his name be removed from the Democratic ballot for the June 22nd election as they were deemed permeated with fraud.
While I never personally reviewed the petitions submitted by Dr. Mansouri, I do know that words like fraud and forgery are not ones you’d want associated with the Chief Financial Officer of Erie County.
In this case, it seems justice was done. I believe in the integrity of our electoral system in New York State, and I look forward to restoring integrity to the Office of the Comptroller in January.”
