Hardwick to take oath of office on Friday

Kevin Hardwick will be sworn in as a new Erie County legislator at 2 p.m. New Year’s Day in Post 264, American Legion, 60 Main St., in the City of Tonawanda, where he resides. Tonawanda City Judge Joseph J. Cassata will administer the oath. The event is open to the public, with doors opening at 1:45.
Hardwick, 52, has been a political science professor at Canisius College for 20 years. A Republican, Hardwick will take the 10th District legislative seat now held by Democrat Michele M. Iannello of Kenmore.
